About the Artist

After rediscovering the passion I had for art in my teen years, I began classes at the Art League School in Alexandria, VA, in 2003. I studied under Robert Liberace and John Murray, with a strong focus on figurative art. I am exploring a variety of media in my course work, including graphite, oil, charcoal, and watercolor. I exhibited at the MPA/Corcoran Show in McLean, VA; Art at the Mill in Berryville, VA; and The Art League in Alexandria, VA.

Since relocating to the beauty of the Sonoran Desert in the Southwest U.S., I have expanded to creating nature and wildlife art, along with my figure, portrait and still life work.

My experience as a competitive athlete at the national level in whitewater slalom kayak has given me a first-hand appreciation of what is possible in life. I enjoy seeking beauty and discovering the heroic, and look to bring this out in my artwork.
